Uniform

School Uniform

 

  • White or Gold polo shirts, grey or black trousers, shorts, skirts or pinafore dresses.

Girls can wear yellow gingham dresses in the warm weather. Yellow gingham dresses may not be available in our local stores but they can be ordered on-line.

 

  • Black shoes (black trainers without logos are permissible). Girls shoes should be low heeled.

Plain coloured flat sandals are permitted in the Summer Term (no flipflops)

 

All children’s clothing, shoes, hair style/hair colour should not follow extremes of fashion. Similarly children should not wear nail polish or other fashion accessories to school.

 

These items are available from SKOOLKIT:-

  • Burgundy sweatshirts/cardigans with logo, gold coloured polo shirt (with and without logo), plain white t-shirts (round neck for PE) , plain black shorts, book bag or PE bags.

 

PE Kit

  • A plain white T-shirt.
  • A pair of plain black plimsolls
  • A pair of black shorts with no logo
  • A PE Bag (available to buy in a range of colours through the school)
  • Tracksuit for outdoor games, plain black or blue no logos, stripes are permissible.
  • A pair of trainers

 

Children need a PE bag with a drawstring to hang on their peg in the cloakroom. This bag needs to stay in school every day and only be taken home for washing during the weekend or holiday. It is important that for PE children have a change of clothes and a change of footwear.

 

Swimming Kit

  • One piece swimming costume for girls/swimming shorts or trunks for boys
  • Towel
  • Swimming hat

 

All children are required to wear a swimming hat.

  • Earrings must be removed. Children are not allowed to apply tape over their earrings.
  • If your child has sickness or diarrhoea they must not go swimming for 14 days after the episode.
  • If your child has a verruca, a verruca sock must be worn in the pool and on the poolside/or waterproof plaster & white ankle sock to wear in the water, even if you are treating the verruca.

 

Forest School

When children are exploring the forest school, children will need

  • A long sleeved lightweight top and trousers/leggings
  • Trainers/wellies/closed in shoes
  • Waterproof coat

These items of clothing need to be left in school in a named bag.

 

Jewellery

NO jewellery is permitted other than ear studs for children who have had their ears pierced.

For P. E. & swimming, children will be asked to remove their studs and they need to be able to do this for themselves.

 

Guidance from Hampshire County Council – if a child has their ears pierced in term time, the earrings can be removed from 6 weeks from piercing.

(For the first 6 weeks only, ears can be taped with tape supplied by the parent/carer).
